April Social ~ Heirlooms, Traditions, & History
Written by Carrie Pacini on April 14, 2009 – 5:18 pm -Always wondered what that small bowl was that was passed down to you all about?
Or that pink vase or strange figurine that was in your grandmother’s bathroom that you now have inherited?
Well, come find out! Bring your most interesting unknown piece to the OPMOM April Social and get the deets!
Our very own Katherine Druckman the Webmistress at Linux Journal has a secret. She studied at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design and Culture, and is from a long line of amazing art collectors here in Texas.
Katherine had short stints at a New York auciton house and a Chinese art gallery before she decided to join the passionate Linux Crusaders on their open source missions. Katherine is overflowing with information about ceramics, art, and collector pieces.
Food, Wine, Great Company, Conversation, and finally figuring out why that plate is so important ~ it’s totally worth it.
